Please note that in rare instances you may encounter a warning when you launch the application stating that components of Kerish PC Doctor have been locked or replaced and that the license key has been invalidated in order to protect the software against cracking. The solution to this problem is described below.

If the software does not report any warnings when it is launched, then this message will only appear if you have incorrectly entered the registration name and key that were sent to you.

Please note that the name and key that you received are linked, since the key is generated based on the registration name.
When you activate the program you must enter the registration name and the key in the exact form in which they were received (in case-sensitive form).
Ideally, you should copy and past the name and key into the appropriate fields by using the "Copy" → "Paste" commands.

If you are using a machine translation tool, keep in mind that it may distort or corrupt the license key structure.
You must enter the name and key from the original text with the registration data.

The message center says that the license key has expired long before the end of the license term.

The license can be broken by a glitch in the Windows system date or the Windows recovery system.
To solve a problem related to a broken key, please carefully follow the instructions in the exact order given below:

Before beginning, please first save your activation information (NAME + KEY) in a safe place in order to avoid losing them.

1) Make sure you have set the correct Windows system date.
An incorrect Windows system date will adversely affect the operation of the license.
You can find information about how to check the Windows system date here: https://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/set-clock
If the Windows system date is reset every time the computer is turned off, the problem is most likely related to the battery for the BIOS on the PC motherboard. This battery needs to be replaced.

2) Completely uninstall (delete) Kerish PC Doctor.
You can find information about how to uninstall Kerish PC Doctor here: https://www.kerish.org/en/content.php?item=howto-uninstall-kd

3) Download this zip file: https://www.kerish.org/Products/Doctor/ClearSettings.zip
Unpack the archive, open the file, and approve the proposed additions to the registry.

4) Locate the following folder and then completely delete all of its contents:
(It is important that you display all hidden files and folders)
For Windows 11/10/8(8.1)/7/Vista: "C:\ProgramData\Kerish Products\Kerish Doctor"
For Windows XP: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kerish Products\Kerish Doctor"

5) Download and install the latest version of Kerish PC Doctor from our website: https://www.kerish.org/en/download.php

6) Use your license key to activate the program.

When I launch the application I see a message stating that components of Kerish PC Doctor have been locked or replaced, and thus the license has been invalidated.

This triggers the software's internal protection mechanisms, invalidating all license keys.
Chances are, you are a victim of software piracy.

The fact of the matter is that pirated distributions of Kerish PC Doctor include the utility Hide Folders (this is usually located here: C:\Program Files\Hide Folders\hf5.exe) bundled together with our software. This utility blocks our software from updating the Keys.lic file, which contains a list of blocked license keys.

In order to resolve this issue, go to the Hide Folders utility settings and disable blocking of the Keys.lic file, which is usually located in the Kerish PC Doctor components folder: C:\ProgramData\Kerish Products\Kerish Doctor\Database\Keys.lic.

Then update the components of Kerish PC Doctor, and the problem should be resolved.

If you cannot find the program Hide Folders in the folder: C:\Program Files\Hide Folders\hf5.exe, then it has probably been deleted, but the blocking of the file is still in effect at the system level.
In this case, you will need to download and install it again: https://fspro.net/hide-folders.
After that, follow the steps described above to remove the block on the Keys.lic file.
To resolve this issue, it is important that Kerish PC Doctor has full access to the Keys.lic file in the folder containing its own components (the right to delete and modify the file) in order to update this component.

Kerish PC Doctor has stopped running in automatic mode. I have to manually update the program and perform diagnostics.

If the problem concerns only background diagnostics and error correction:
Please note that the "Program Settings" → "Maintenance" section has two settings that are enabled by default:

1) "Background scan only when connected to AC Power" - if this option is enabled and you have a laptop or tablet, then Kerish PC Doctor will conserve battery life by conducting background diagnostics only when the device is connected to a power outlet.
2) "Background scan only when there is a low load of system resources" - if this option is enabled, Kerish PC Doctor will conduct background diagnostics only if the computer is not performing other resource-intensive tasks.

If the program is not conducting background diagnostics, it may mean that one of the above conditions is not being met.
You can disable one or both of these settings.

If the problem affects all background operations, including updates, then the program's internal background task scheduler has apparently encountered some sort of problem.
Click on "Program Settings" to the left of the main window.
Click on "General" in the settings section.
Select the item "Reset Scheduler" in the list of settings and select "Yes" in the dialog box that appears.
Close the settings window by clicking "OK".
This will reset the scheduled tasks to their default values, which should solve the problem.

There are still references to the application in the context menu after the program has been deleted. How can I completely remove Kerish PC Doctor?

This problem is most often caused by the use of a third-party unofficial installer program that uses its own uninstaller, which, unlike the official uninstaller, fails to remove the context menu entries.
In rare cases, the problem may be related to the fact that you have installed a very old version of Kerish Doctor on your computer, since newer versions of the program are integrated with the Windows context menu through the automatic update feature.

If you encounter this problem, follow these steps to eliminate it:
Download this archive: https://www.kerish.org/Products/Doctor/UninstallContextMenu.zip
Unpack the archive, open the file, and approve the proposed additions to the registry.

Kerish PC Doctor does not start. Nothing happens when I run it.

As a rule, the program will not respond to being launched if the internal protection mechanisms against cracking have been activated.

To counter attempts to crack the program, Kerish PC Doctor will not launch if foreign libraries or executables are present in the program folder. Make sure that there are no any foreign libraries or executables in the installation folder (anything other than KerishDoctor.exe).

Kerish PC Doctor will also not start if any debuggers are running or if it is inside a virtual machine.

In addition, Kerish PC Doctor may not launch if the program's process memory has been modified by malicious or other software, which will also be regarded as a cracking attempt. In this case, scan your computer using antivirus software that has been updated to the latest signatures database.

"Gibberish" is displayed in the program interface instead of letters.

A language has been selected in the Windows setting "Language for non-Unicode programs" that is different from the one that was specified in Kerish PC Doctor.
Change this language to the one that you selected in the program: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/locale.xml.

There was an error updating Kerish PC Doctor. However, I am connected to the Internet.

Update errors occur if Kerish PC Doctor cannot install components or it loses its connection to the kerish.org server.
The server is usually available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
In extreme circumstances (when the site is undergoing technical maintenance or there is an emergency) we will warn users both on the official website and on the application's social network pages.

Check the server's availability: https://geopeeker.com/fetch/?url=kerish.org.

If you cannot access the server using the links above, this means that we are having a problem with our server and are working to solve the problem.
However, if you are able to access the server through the links above, that means the problem is on the client side.

Try the following steps:

1) Check to see whether our site https://www.kerish.org will open in any web browser.
If the site opens and you are asked to enter a CAPTCHA code, you will need to do this to access our server in the future.
The server's DDOS attack protection mechanism has apparently determined that the IP subnet address of your ISP is suspicious.
After you enter the CAPTCHA on our website, the program will launch and begin the update.

2) Make sure that you uncheck the "Use HTTP proxy server" option in the update settings if you do not believe that it is necessity.

3) Download the latest version of Kerish PC Doctor from the official website (https://www.kerish.org/en/download.php) and reinstall the application.

4) Check your antivirus and firewall.
Your connection may be being blocked by a firewall.
In this case, add Kerish PC Doctor to your firewall's list of trusted applications.

5) Check the connection priority.
When there are multiple connections, their priorities may be set incorrectly.

For Windows 11/10/8(8.1)/7/Vista: Control PanelNetwork and Sharing CenterChange adapter settings → press ALT and you will see the menu → AdvancedAdvanced Settings
For Windows XP: Control PanelNetwork connectionMoreAdvanced
The connection that you are using to connect to the internet (and which Kerish PC Doctor will use to update itself) should be first in (at the top of) the connection list. If this is not the case, then correct it and restart the computer after applying the settings.

6) A language has been selected in the Windows setting "Language for non-Unicode programs" that is different from the one that was specified in Kerish PC Doctor.
Change this language to the one that you selected in the program: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/locale.xml.
